Vintage Blocks- Christmas edition

Hello!!
Been another busy week catching up with outstanding orders and making stock for shops etc! Finally sending out the prizewinners gifts too!!
This week I have also designed a Christmas themed version of the Vintage blocks to count down the days in December!
These are made to order and are £9.99 the same price as the other style..

Here's some pics!!

I was thinking about opening a temporary blog shop to make it easier to sell goods from until my Website is ready...what d'ya think? I would appreciate any advice that experienced blog sellers can give me...please feel Free to comment or E-mail me peeps x
Oh and can I also apologise for my lack of commenting on all your lovely blogs..I do get to have a quick scan but I really need to sit down and have a Proper Catch up so I can give my full attention to them x ( I haven't even opened my subscribed copy of country living yet!!) Will def put some time aside with a cuppa to catch up next week...ITS A DATE!!
Thanks for all your lovely comments and will be back soon xx

Hi I love your blocks looks like lots of work goes into them.
A blog shop is a great idea. I have bought from blog shops on a few occasions too.
Well done on the vintage fair and your mum too

the blocks are lovely. can you tell me, are they suitable for children or are they ornamental?

Unknown said...

I would say primarily Ornamental but if I were to do a set for kids would have to either coat them in at least 4 layers of varnish ( which would distort the colours) or cover them with a clear plastic layer...either can be done though hun!

These are great, I meant to buy some from you at the fair and didn't get a chance. A blog shop would be an excellent idea. Anyway I definitely want to buy some Christmas blocks so I will email you later. My daughter loved your stall at the fair and for her that's quite unusual a she doesn't normally admit to liking the same sort of stuff as me. I know there were a few bits she wanted as well . I will email you later with my order if that's ok.

Hi Annie,

Love the new Christmas blocks. I have my set on display as we speak.

I would say that putting your items for sale in your blog would be a great idea. If someone is interested they can e-mail you and then you can either send them an invoice through Paypal which would be the easiest route or they could send you a cheque. If an item has already sold someone cannot buy it without you sending them an invoice so no chance of double selling. The other option you have is to start a shop on Etsy selling your smaller items, which is easy to do, that way you will be hitting a large market but that is predominantly American although I have no problem sending items abroad.

As you know Ann & I have a web shop and have to say that is the slowest method of sales that we have and we are on the front page of google, so think that a web shop takes time to develop and get up and running.

Give it a go what have you got to loose, you have a good following of bloggers

I love your blocks. They are gorgoueous. You could also open a second blog and have it set up as your business blog. you can get pay and hop buttons from paypal--just an idea.

I love your blocks they are adorable! I'm afraid I don't have any information on blog sales but I wish you all the best of luck. The holiday season would be a great time to test it out. Jennifer

The blocks look great! Enjoyed your previous post too, glad it was a success. I went to the V&H Fair at the weekend, it was just 1 hour away from me. I had a great time. You can't beat fairs like that.

Hi Annie, the blocks are fab :-)

The only prob with a blogshop is that (and I'm going form my own experience) it only tends to be people who follow your blog who go there (rather than using a site like etsy or ebay) although I think this is the same prob you would have with a standard website to start off with.

Good luck setting up your website, I am hoping to try this myself in the new year!
